For some reason, one of the most confusing aspects of scouting is uniforms.  In Pack 27, uniform pants are usually optional, but we do get the uniform shirts right.  Probably the hardest part of getting the shirt right is the patches.   Believe it or not, every patch has a specific place it belongs on the shirt.  The shirt's aren't proper uniforms if they're not.... well.... uniform.

In several place on our website, we've linked to the Virtual Scout Leader's Handbook.  We rely on it again here for GREAT guidelines on uniforming.   This part is called the "Virtual Uniform and Insignia Handbook".  Everything from neckerchiefs to square knot "which side is up" questions are addressed here.  Placement diagrams, explanations of what various insignia mean, how insignia has changed over time, if you have a question, it'll be answered here.  Yes, it addresses the uniform question for scout uniforms as well as scout leader uniforms.  Just follow the links...................
